Been super busy with school lately. I haven't even had the time to draw digitally for fun anymore. Although, I DO have a lot of sketches I did during class times, especially Algebra
I took up a Medical Technician course. Right now, the lessons aren't all that hard, and I only have 2 majors this sem, but it's the minors that are giving me the most trouble.. I didn't realize that PE has become a major subject nowadays.
and Algebra's giving me a nosebleed. Not because the subject's hard, but because most of the time, I can't really understand the teacher and the stuff that comes out in the quizzes like come out of nowhere!! Buuuuut, then again, all I've been doing in class was mostly draw. So I guess this is a punishment? lol, if it is then
The only sad part was that I just barely passed one of his quizzes! OAO One point less and I would have been headed to the supplementary math classes..
Okay, enough of that. Moving on to other matters.
I'm not sure if there's a lot of you out there, but have you ever experienced being asked to make a logo for a shirt or a club or a school or something and the only background you have regarding digital arts is digital illustrations and NOT layouting/graphic logos/designs?
Just last weekend, the officers of the school of nursing asked me to do some logos for their class t-shirt. At first I thought they were only going to ask me to make a draft design of their t-shirt or something along those lines, which I have a little experience in. But logo making? Exp points = 0
I really couldn't say no, since they asked me so nicely, and also because it was my close friend who referred me to them, so in the end, they gave me a job (I'm not being paid though.)
Do you guys think I should be paid for what I'm doing? This is the first big job for me, and a lot of people are going to be wearing the designs I'll be making. But then again, if what I'll be making would make people happy, then it's something to be proud of, right?
Maybe I should just think this over..
Oh and about the commissions, hopefully I could find the time again next weekend to finish at least one more commission. This week is exam week, so can't really do much now, since most of my time will be spent on studying
I'mma try to post up stuff as soon as I can ^^
